About the song: “The Young Enthusiast” is one segment of a story album based on a short by Leo Tolstoy entitled “A Talk Among Leisured People”. Essentially the characters all question whether or not they are living in a way that emulates Christ. In spite of their self skepticism, they all manage to excuse their lack of action. One young man is particularly eager to pursue living love in a real way, and this song shares his earnestness for change.
