With its third national release, the Chicago duo Sleeping At Last are just as comfortable calling upon legendary arranger Van Dyke Parks as they are appearing on “Grey’s Anatomy,” striking an ideal equilibrium between indie credibility and commercial viability, Sleeping At Last finds themselves more confident and focused than ever. The addition of varied string arrangement styles, the folksy ukulele and a plethora of earthy, exotic instruments throughout, make “Storyboards” their most entertaining and ambitious album to date.

About the Song: “Unmade” is a song that examines the gift of communication and our misuse of it. The power and weight that each of us carry through languages is absolutely overwhelming to think about it. The quality of people’s lives can so easily be built up and torn down, made and unmade – all at the mercy of the words we choose to speak. This song is a story about just that. An examination of our responsibilities to use such a gorgeous and powerful gift to build our small worlds up, into something massively loved.
