The community at Ngoma excitedly welcomed the Living Water team. The previous water source was a few kilometers away, and the ground level pipe design in place led to frequent contamination after rain. The community of Ngoma even formed a health committee weeks prior to Living Water arriving to be the agents of change in this community. 6 teachers and 3 community members were trained how to help their community become healthier by improving sanitation and health practices.
Living Water workers report: “We had a good time training in this community. It is one of the nicest communities we’ve been to. They were welcoming, fun and active.”
During a biblical training, people in the community enjoyed the teachings about about the Samaritan woman and Jesus calming the storm. The adults memorized these stories and shared them with others in the community.
